Michele & Glenn's Beachside Wedding

October 17
Matt and I flew to Central Florida to photograph Michele and Glenn's wedding and to visit my family for a few days. Here are some of our favorites from their wedding day, set at the home of a dear friend. The weather was absolutely fantastic and every detail perfectly fitted for their beachside ceremony and blending of their two families. After the formal family shots were taken, we had a few extra minutes to relax and take some fun, romantic shots with the bride and groom all around the beach town. The day was appropriately topped off with a lively reception and celebration, surrounded by friends and family. Congratulations Michele & Glenn! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day.

An Afternoon With Rio

This was my niece Rio's 4 year old photoshoot. We started out by letting her pick out a flower at the New Smyrna Beach Florist stop... and she, of course, picked out a pink rose. Always the girliest! Our first stop was North Beach Park at Sapphire. She posed with Kermit, her dad's childhood toy. Then we went to the jetty at Ponce Inlet where she danced around and posed on the rocks with her rose. After that, she couldn't resist disturbing the large flock of resting seagulls, naturally.

I loved this day. :)

Monica + Jordan 08.09.2009

I'm back in the Sunshine State for the month of August, visiting family & friends, and shooting 2 weddings. The first one was Monica and Jordan's wedding: ceremony and reception held at the historic Thomas Center in Gainesville, Florida. The venue was absolutely beautiful! The room where both the ceremony and reception took place had the appearance and feel of an elegant Spanish courtyard. One of my favorite characteristics of the Spanish room was that the ceiling was entirely glass, so the room was filled with natural light and glow.

The grounds of the Thomas Center were gorgeous as well. Every where I turned there was another photo opp: the fountain, the giant oak trees and spanish moss, entryways, etc...
It was a truly enjoyable photography experience.

Here are a few of my favorites...

And now introducing: The new Pictage slideshow feature!!

On the Road

Matt and I recently returned from a roadtrip to California for a wedding shoot. The final destination was San Juan Capistrano, but we made a few stops on the way there and back - to make sure to take in as much of California as we could in 5 days. It went by very quickly, but we saw so much... and I'm already dying to go back! Still editing the actual wedding photos, so I'll save them for a later post. Here are highlights from the road...

The Golden Gate Bridge
San Francisco

Coit Tower
Telegraph Hill

The Palace of Fine Arts

Along I-5

L a g u n a B e a c h

Carmel-by-the-Sea

And the highlight of my whole trip...
Big Sur!

The Bixby Canyon Bridge
