Hilary & Tyler's Engagement Session!

Hilary & Tyler's engagement session was photographed in Wright Park, Downtown Tacoma, and Point Defiance Park. It was a gorgeous, crisp, Spring day... and we had a blast! I love all of the images so far, but I have to say that my 2 favorites of the day were the last 2. We were in the Japanese Garden area in Point Defiance Park, and this tree was just everywhere. All sorts of winding twigs and branches and dangley blossoms.. so beautiful!

These two were so easy to work with.... all smiles! Can't wait for the big day!

Well designed

I just wanted to post my appreciation for a delightful little packet I received in the mail today from an out of state bride, who's wedding Matt and I are photographing this summer. It was full of details, maps, directions, lists of names for family photos (very helpful!), magazine clippings of shots that she loved with little notes in the margins.. photo location ideas.. it was so cute!! It's going to be a fun trip indeed!

Alicia & Shell :: Engagement Session

I wanted to share some highlights from Alicia and Shell's engagement session this morning in Wright Park, Tacoma. It's been so rainy lately... I was worried we'd get rained out for our shoot today. But it stopped, at least for the morning, and we were able to get out and stage a few scenes around the park. I was particularly happy with the early blooms on some of the trees and bushes, allowing us to have a few "Spring-y" shots!
Matt and I will be photographing their wedding in Renton, WA this July. Looking forward to it!

Amy & Jared's Engagement Session!

Here are some of my favorites from last weekend's engagement shoot with Amy & Jared from Tacoma, WA. I hope they had as much fun as I did! We started off in West Seattle with the city skyline as the backdrop. There were some nighttime shots from an abandoned bridge in Old Town area Tacoma. And finally, we goofed off all around Point Defiance park, staging some romantic scenes near the pond, in the forest, and down by Owen Beach.

Amy & Jared, I'm so happy for you and I cannot wait to photograph your wedding next month!!
