Colorado Wedding:: Sneak-Peek!

WOW! It has been such a long time since I've had the chance for a decent update post! We just finished up a busy Summer Wedding and Portrait Season. Plenty of updates and sneak-peeks to come! I had actually been waiting on some info from some previous brides for things I wanted to include with their wedding post, so I've gotten a little behind and a few of these next few posts may be a little out of order. If you do not see your wedding or portrait post in the correct order, hang tight... it'll be up shortly! : )

To start off the current sneak-peeks, we have:

Erik & Michelle's July wedding

~just outside of Aspen, Colorado.

The ceremony was held in a little clearing, down a country road, right on a riverbank.

I thought I was all prepared for this outdoor wedding, having grown up in the Sunshine State. Matt thought he was, too, having grown up in Thailand. The lack of humidity, heat and the ALTITUDE made this particular photo session a bit of a challenge for Matt and I, though... but we gulped down plenty of water and stayed in the shade as much as we could and everything worked out just fine! Before long, we were on to the Reception, which was held just across the street in a large, white tent. It was a wonderful mixture of the elegance of roses and candles with the catering style of an elaborate backyard barbecue. The guests enjoyed themselves and danced well into the night. We took so many pictures! I can't wait to get them completely finished and posted onto their own wedding website.

Here are a few highlights from our encore sessions this past week.
I'm planning to devote an entire section on the website (once it's back up and running) to these sessions, and I can't wait to get home and finish editing the rest of them! I hope the girls had as much fun as I did! They looked beautiful.

I'm feeling very grateful today.
I am in Florida right now, due to a family emergency that turned out to be okay in
the end. Glad my auntie is doing better.

I miss my wonderful husband, but happy to spend time with the fam... it's hard living so far away from them. But I'm very thankful that our lifestyle allows me to be here when I need to be.

A gigantic thank you to all of my family and friends for your support and encouragement throughout the years of my development as an artist. Thank you for instilling the confidence in me to pursue my great love of photography. Thank you to all of my clients along the way, for allowing me the privillege of being a part of your life, documenting your moments huge and small.

I am happy.
